Watching the E! coverage of the Oscar’s red carpet, just seen Viola Davis who is rocking her natural hair and a green Vera Wang gown, she looks amazing!

Part of me is annoyed that she is getting probably the most accolade she will ever get in her acting career; for playing a maid, but I’m also happy that a great black actress is finally getting recognition in Hollywood. I can only hope that the next time a black actress or actor or director is nominated for an academy award it won’t be for playing such a stereotypical ‘black’ role.
